In the village of Castil de Campos, Local Autonomous Entity of Priego de Córdoba, is this House-Museum set as a traditional country house, between the nineteenth and mid-twentieth century, where various tools associated with the Arts and Customs are exhibited popular of the region of Priego de Córdoba, within a small but representative building that has been consolidated and restored for this purpose, respecting the original work to the maximum.
Its space is divided into two floors distributed as follows:
Ground floor: kitchenette with fireplace and pantry taking advantage of the stairwell, living room with chandeliers and chimney, room (bedroom), block with mangers, and courtyard with zahúrda and pools for birds of corral.
Upper floor: haystack to enclose the straw, and three chambers (rooms), one of them of reduced dimensions, and the biggest one with its salting room to salt the meat coming from the slaughter and the storehouses to store the grain.
The House-Museum is of private initiative because it corresponds to the neighbors of the village, the merit of having acquired the property, achieved its rehabilitation and obtained the necessary objects for the ethnographic exhibition. As you travel through your rooms, we will remember vernacular tools and uses that are almost gone, but linked as they are to our tradition.
