TEMPLE Virgen de las Angustias
In the old street of Las Parras, today Bishop Pérez Muñoz, forming a corner in the Plazoleta de la Cruz de los Mozos, there is an altar under the invocation of Our Lady of Sorrows, unique in the province of Córdoba for its artistic value and quality of materials, as for the peculiarity that it lacks owners because it does not belong to the town hall or the church. It was built, according to oral testimonies of the neighbors, by the former owner of the adjoining house, who would send him up for devotion to the image, on an undetermined date. After the death of the owner, it was the neighbors who were responsible for the maintenance and periodic cleaning, although the property itself lacks owners. Inside it houses The image of the Virgen de las Angustias is a polychrome wood carving attributed to the Granada school and dated around the last third of the 18th century.
The Virgen de las Angustias has great popular fervor, it was not in vain from her place, La Cruz de los Mozos, where the young men called Quintas said goodbye.
