VISITORS CENTER OF THE IZNÁJAR RESERVOIR
The Visitors Center of the Iznájar Reservoir is located in the Valdearenas natural area, 2 km from the town of Iznájar. Here you can discover the natural and cultural value of the Genil river and the Iznájar reservoir.
The center has several museum spaces where the visitor can get the know the Genil river, the process of building the reservoir, and its relation to the ecosystem, heritage, history and culture of Iznájar.
The visitors can also attend conferences about the reservoir, go to workshops, and walk along a trail among the flora and fauna that surrounds the center.
The Visitors Center of the Iznájar Reservoir has a herbs garden with information about all the species in it. There is also a 2 km trail. Along the way there are 5 signs with information about the birds, reptiles, fishes, and amphibian that can be found in the reservoir and the Tajo de Valdearenas.
In the ground floor is the hall, an exhibit with some of the tools used to build the reservoir, newspapers, and a video. There is also a shop.
There are 4 spaces with different themes, a multi-purpose room and a terrace with a bird observatory and a weather station.
