Pestiños

PREPARATION TIME: 1 hour and 30 minutes (approximately)

INGREDIENTS:

  • One kilogram of flour
  • 200g of sugar
  • 100g of fennel seeds
  • 100g of sesame seeds
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • One glass of wine
  • One glass of oil
  • One tablespoon of lard
  • Salt to taste

STEPS:

  1. Place the flour in a bowl and make a well in the center where you add the fennel, cinnamon, and sesame seeds.

  2. Heat the oil with a lemon or orange peel.

  3. Add a glass of oil and a glass of wine.

  4. Knead and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

  5. Shape the dough and cut the pieces of pestiño.

  6. Fry in a pot with not too hot oil.

  7. Coat them in sugar, and they are ready to eat.
