Tejeringos

Preparation:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix, let it rest for a few minutes.
  2. Put the dough in a churrera or a piping bag with a smooth nozzle and fry in moderately hot oil in a circle or bow shape, flip until golden on both sides.
  3. Serve hot with chocolate, milk, or coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 300 ml warm water.
  • 250 g flour.
  • 5 g salt.
  • 2.5 ml vinegar.
  • 5 g baking soda.
  • Extra virgin olive oil for frying.

Tips:

  • This dough is quite soft, so we use a churrera or a pastry bag.
  • The oil should be hot but not too much, otherwise, the inside would not be well-cooked.
  • You can add a bit of baking powder (royal).
  • They are usually tied to a reed for transport because if they are put in a plastic bag, they become tender.
