Zagrilla-Esparragal-Fuente de las Majadas Trail.

This trail starts from the Zagrilla Spring, where water abundantly flows from between the rocks to accumulate in a large water basin before heading towards one of the most beautiful washhouses in the area. The construction of this washhouse was funded in 1935 by Niceto Alcalá-Zamora, the first President of the Second Spanish Republic. In earlier times, the water flowed towards a mill and then into a stream, leading it through orchards and quince trees via other more significant watercourses. Today, it passes under several houses and emerges in the vicinity of the old mill. The end of this trail is at the Fuente de las Majadas, in the neighboring village of El Esparragal. Over its slightly more than three kilometers, we can observe numerous lookout towers and enjoy wonderful views of the Horconera massif. The trail runs largely along a pedestrian path parallel to the road, which is accessible to people with reduced mobility, crossing the beautiful village of Esparragal until reaching the Fuente de las Majadas, the endpoint of our trail. The return is along the same route as the outward journey.
